Divine 85% Dark Chocolate Bar
I originally started eating Divine chocolate because it was low carb. I was on a diet during what was perhaps the healthiest time of my life and I needed chocolate. Divine chocolate was the lowest carb chocolate I could find at only 28 carbs per 100g IIRC.
This new bar is lower still in carbs at only 17 and stronger in flavour with a heavily dark flavour to the beans which comes through in the 85% chocolate but without the fruitiness some other bars have. There is a subtle dark fruit flavour to the chocolate – perhaps red fruit – to the chocolate but it doesn’t ring as clearly as the Askinosie Arriba Nacional or Valrhona Manjari chocolate bars.
This chocolate bar has been created from the finest Ghanaian cocoa beans from the Kuapa Kokoo farmers’ cooperative that co-owns the company and is being launched in celebration of national Chocolate Week. I think that Divine has always been involved in Chocolate Week as I seem to remember their involvement from the beginning.
My recommendation for eating it is this: take a line of 4 squares in a single row and set it aside. Break the rest up in a microwavable bowl. Melt the chocolate and mix it to create a warm, smooth consistency. When melting the chocolate in the microwave, give it 10 seconds at a time and stir and check it regularly. You want it to melt but not too quickly and don’t ‘cook’ it. Once it is fully melted take the line of 4 squares of chocolate, dip it in and lick it off. YUM!
perfect chocolate for Halloween weekend 🙂 must try your eating recommendation!

Hello, I’m just a random person who randomly decided to comment on your post. I may be random but I did read and enjoy your article. Especially enjoyed your recommended method of eating the Divine Chocolate. Must give that a try sometime.
never tried divine but will definitely give it a go. your tip sounds absolutely divine!
@LuckyThing13
I would love to try dark chocolate. I am not keen on Bournville as very bitter, so would be interested to try something new.
I used to work in the Eden Project. this is the only chocolate they sold and I got quite a taste for it
Oooo!♥ 85% it’s the only way!
