Cocktail Recipes from Le Chiffre – Not Just For James Bond To Fight!
South Place Hotel has a brand new cocktail list and while I didn’t get to the event in Le Chiffre, their games room, I wanted to share them here. Now, most cocktail recipes have measures that are so small I have trouble figuring them out. These cocktail recipes have no measurements at all but I’d suggest to use the rule of thumb – if it tastes yummy, it’s fine 🙂
Your Country Needs You! Cocktail Recipe
Belvedere Pure, Benedictine, Maraschino liqueur, lemon & Spanish bitters. This is going to be a POTENT cocktail! Remember that while you might add a measure of everything, add only a dash or two of bitters and a half a shot of the maraschino liqueur as it is quite sweet. Again, put this all in a cocktail shaker, top up with ice, shake extremely well and serve straight up.
Scotch Biscuit Cocktail Recipe
Johnnie Walker Black label, Sipsmith Summer Cup, Oloroso Sherry, Earl Grey tea (cooled), nutmeg & egg . Shake well over ice, strain and serve straight up.
Saint Clement’s Cocktail Recipe
Jose Cuervo tradicional, Cointreau, honey, lemon & rosemary. Bruise rosemary before adding to the alcohol, honey & lemon. Shake well over ice, strain and serve straight up.
Lyle’s Julep Cocktail Recipe
Stone’s Ginger wine, spiced Pampero Anejo, blackberries & lyle’s black treacle. Crush blackberries well in bottom of cocktail shaker. Add Stone’s Ginger wine & spiced Pampero Anejo to crushed blackberries then add spot of black treacle, ice and shake well. Strain mix well to remove ice and pips then serve in a short glass with some ice and topped with a sprig of mint.
Something Continental Cocktail Recipe
Green Chatruese, lemon, rosemary & Champagne . Add everything but champagne to a champagne flute and stir gently. Add champagne slowly to mix in with the base but not over-fizz.
Spitfire Swirl Cocktail Recipe
Hendricks, lime, egg, blackcurrant & hibiscus flower. Add Hendricks, lime and blackcurrent to glass. Carefully add egg white, ice and then shake well. Put hibiscus flower into bottom of glass and strain drink into it.
Winston’s Tipple Cocktail Recipe
Bulleit, Dubonnet, Cherry Marnier, & Mozart Chocolate bitters. Combine together in shaker, wake up with a real shake and serve on the rocks.
The Black Out Fizz Cocktail Recipe
Belvedere Raspberry, Amer picon, lemon, honey & soda. This is a long drink so add everything but the soda to a cocktail shaker and combine well, fill a tall glass with ice and pour the mix over it then top up with soda.
Marmite Cocktail Recipe
Kamm & Sons, Martini Dry, Laphroaig, Lyle’s black treacle & whiskey barrel aged bitters. Combine together in shaker, wake up with a real shake and serve on the rocks.
Le Croupier Cocktail Recipe
Bacardi Superior, Martini Rosso & Oloroso Sherry. Shake well over ice, strain and serve straight up.
