Chococo opens in Winchester!

Now, you know I love Chococo chocolates from my earlier posts (handily linked to right back there 😉 )

Award-winning Dorset-based chocolatier Chococo has opened its second store in the historic city of Winchester, Hampshire.

Customers visiting Chococo Winchester will be able to indulge and delight in the world of fine chocolate.  They can purchase a wide selection Chococo’s delicious, freshly handmade chocolates as well as relax and enjoy their unique hot chocolates and freshly made cakes in the seating area to the rear of the store.

Located at the Guildhall end of the High Street, the new store interior is inspired by the iconic and colourful packaging of Chococo’s chocolate boxes, with some added wit thrown in.

The tempting fresh chocolates selection available features favourites like “Old Thumper”, flavoured with Old Thumper Beer from Hampshire’s Ringwood Brewery, and “Black Cow”, a milk chocolate ganache that uses Black Cow Vodka from Dorset. Festive flavours include “Christmas Puddings”, “Mulled Wine” and “Dorset Blue”, a new chocolate for 2013 made with Dorset Blue Vinny cheese. All the fresh chocolates are made with Dorset cream.

The café menu includes coffee, tea and of course a large range of hot chocolates, freshly prepared by specially trained Chocistas and made from different pure origin chocolates. New from Chococo is its unique DIY hot chocolate concept where you can melt your choice of pure origin chocolate to savour.

The teas served come from Char Tea, a local Winchester based company, and the freshly baked, scrumptious cakes come from Little Bee Bakery in Romsey.

Finally, there is a delicious range of tempting ice cream Sundaes, made with Purbeck Ice Cream, and visitors will also be able to create their own sundaes from a DIY menu.
