Ooh La La Chocolaterie Tea Chocolates
The wonderful folk at Ooh La La Chocolaterie, upon hearing I was dedicating a week to tea, sent me their Jasmine and Earl Grey tea selection. While they were slightly crushed in the mail, that didn’t mean they tasted any differently and besides – they break up in your mouth anyway.
Jasmine Tea – this is a delicious chocolate ball with a silver shine and filled with a very solid ganache. The dark chocolate ganache unfortunately overpowers the delicate jasmine flavour but thankfully it does not have the flavour of perfume some jasmine chocolates have. As a chocolate it is very nice and the dark chocolate ganache, while firm is nice.
Earl Grey – Milk chocolate with tea on top and a firm milk chocolate ganache. This has the distinctive earl grey flavour and, while not too strong, is strong enough to come through. Without being overpowering, the earl grey tea flavour comes distinctly through. I liked it!
