danucci rocherMany of you know that I am not a fan of fruit in my chocolate. This is mainly because chocolate people seem to get this dried fruit that hasn’t made its mind up yet as to whether it is fruit or dried yet and so is mushy. It awful in the mouth and feels yucky. Hotel Chocolat helped me see fruit in chocolate could be EPIC and so I decided to give these a chance.

I really liked these clusters. The raisins are chewy and the almonds are crunchy and the milk chocolate is just thick enough to keep everything together and thin enough that it doesn’t get in the way of the flavour of the raisins and almonds. The almonds retain their crunch without getting squidgy and I like the sweet of the milk chocolate.

That is one thing – I ate these when I was in a sweet mood. They are not too sweet but for dark chocolate lovers these will be too sweet. Soma have some amazing rocher in dark chocolate but for us lovers of something just slightly sweet, these are perfect. The thin milk chocolate means not too sweet but of course the raisins are slightly sweet too 😉

Find these, buy them, enjoy them!
