Make Your Own Baileys Ice Cream Recipe

Nothing says "adult treat" like a bit of boozy ice cream. For those of you who have an ice cream machine of any sort, this is the perfect Baileys ice cream recipe. If you don’t have an ice cream machine, take a spoonful of ice cream, and a shot of Baileys and ENJOY!

Course Dessert
Servings 10

Ingredients

  • 500 mL milk
  • 200 mL double cream
  • 200 g sugar
  • pinch salt
  • 4 free range eggs
  • 75 mL Baileys Original Irish cream

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk and cream in a saucepan on the stove

  2. Mix together the sugar and egg yolks slowly whisking in

  3. When the dairy mixture is hand hot (hot when a drop is placed on the back of the hand), slowly blend together the egg mix and the liquid, off the heat. Be careful or you will cook the eggs and ruin the custard

  4. Slowly heat the custard to cook out the egg yolk and let it thicken

  5. Add the pinch of salt and the Baileys and remove from the heat

  6. Let the mixture cool completely or you might break your ice cream machine!

  7. Churn in an ice cream machine
