tasting packThis year Green & Blacks’ taste experts have been hard at work expanding their gifting range and are unveiling, just in time for Christmas, the brand new Green & Black’s Organic Connoisseur Collection. It’s a selection of Green & Blacks’ favourite chocolate bars alongside tasting notes. The notes outline which dessert wine, port, sherry or spirit compliments each bar best. To help guide the pairing experience, the collection is equipped with its own Tasting Wheel, the ultimate ‘cheat sheet’ for pairing food with drinks.

I liked the fact there were full sized bars, medium sized bars and the little tiny bars in it (not the really tiny ones but the small ones :-D). I love that mix, the mix of flavours that appeals to everyone and the tasting notes that enable to you to experiment with anything you want. Taste is personal and just because I like something does not mean you should too. This box helps you experiment and get to know what chocolate and alcohol pairing you like best.

If you’re good, they may even open it over Christmas lunch and let you try some of the pairings, and more importantly the chocolate, of course only after you’ve enjoyed your turkey.”

tasting pack notesWho the heck is going to wait for after Turkey? I mean, really, would you? I certainly  didn’t 😉 I took this baby to a gathering of 10 of us and we experimented with different flavours. A really fun time! That is really what this box set is all about – learning, experimenting and having fun.

Chocolate is delicious fun – have fun with it!
